The Swiss Press Club and the Global Studies Institute (GSI) of the University of Geneva invite you to a discussion on human rights in Colombia, nine years after the country’s peace policy was introduced. Despite official agreements, human rights defenders continue to face threats from armed groups. Their work is supported by international organizations such as Peace Brigades International (PBI), which provides protection and advocacy for activists at risk.
For this event, we are honored to welcome:
- Milbia Andrea Díaz, human rights defender with the Inter-Church Commission for Justice and Peace (J&P -Comisión Intereclesial de Justicia y Paz)
- Fernando Martín Berdon, Advocacy Manager at Oidhaco (Oficina Internacional de derechos humanos - Acción Colombia - International Office for Human Rights Action in Colombia)
📅 Wednesday 5 March 2025
🕡 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 Room MS150, Uni Mail, University of Geneva
Co-organized with the GSI, the Swiss Press Club, and PBI.
